| dc.description.abstract | This paper investigates the phenomenon of phrasal cluster ellipsis in EkeGusii, a Bantu language spoken in western Kenya. We analyze the syntactic structures that permit the omission of entire phrasal clusters, examine the contextual and pragmatic factors involved, and propose a theoretical model to account for these ellipses. Our findings contribute to the understanding of ellipsis phenomena in Bantu languages and offer insights for computational language processing. | en_US |
